I first met Katina from 'Geelong Wellbeing Centre' a few years ago when I had my first Reiki session as a gift from my partner.  The experience was mind-blowing, I felt and experienced a deep sense of grounding and energy pulsing through my body.  The session completely opened me to the spiritual world where I began to meditate and explore other forms of wellness.

Years later after a painful end to a relationship, I booked a session with Katina where we sat down and spoke at length about where I was mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. The way Katina held the space for me to express exactly what I was feeling without judging was exactly what I needed at the time and I get as if a weight was lifted from my soul.  Over the next few weeks I returned for more sessions, where I was asked if I would like to learn Reiki, which filled me with joy as I wanted to learn more about this modality as well as help others as I had been helped.

Katina and I made a conscious decisions to not rush the training and allow ample time between Attunements for practice, this proved to be exactly the strategy needed to appreciate the power of Reiki and learn my own intuitive way of performing a session.

In December 2020 during my training for my second Attunement, out of nowhere we decided to book a trip together to Uluru for the Great Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter on the solstice.  What an adventure that unfolded into. My second Attunement was completed at Uluru and Katina ad I have been incredibly close ever since.

If you are looking for a beautiful clear channel to have a Reiki session with or to learn Reiki from Katina (Reiki Master) is in my opinion one of the most powerful healers.  I have experienced and such a beautiful soul filled with light, and not to mention a dear friend.

Having no pre conceived idea of what to expect, entering a quiet room with Katina telling me to close my eyes and do some deep breathing. A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of visiting the Geelong Wellbeing Centre for a Reiki session. While I went in with a healthy deal of scepticism, I decided to keep an open mind about the session. I regrettably arrived late, but Katina did a great job of calming me down and getting me into the right state of mind that Reiki session requires.

Once I was lying down and comfortable, I gradually drifted into a state of physical relaxation. I was in my head for the first few minutes (as this was a new experience for me), but Katina soon managed to put me in a mental state of relaxation as well. Herein, I believe, lies the key to the success of Reiki. In my opinion, Reiki can best be described as a minimalist massage that focuses primarily of the state of consciousness rather than on the manipulation of muscles that a normal massage entails, although physical interaction is crucial to the process.

If you've ever considered Reiki but you're unsure of it's merit, I can personally say that the experience was undoubtedly a very positive one. I left the session feeling undeniably more relaxed and energised. I felt motivated to do things that I otherwise wouldn't have and I had a tangible sense of wellness and contentedness. People can argue all day about the empirical efficacy of such treatments; however, whether mystical or via placebo, my personal experience certainly had me feeling better than when I went it.
